Protecting Nature in Wales
Despite the importance of biodiversity in society, the U.K. remains one of the most nature depleted countries in the world.
Wild Cymru is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) to benefit the wildlife and people of Wales.
Charity Number 1180113
Wild Cymru is working for nature across Wales
Habitat Restoration
We work with farmers and landowners to improve habitat for wildlife in Wales
Species Recovery
We focus on protecting the futures of our most vulnerable species
The Next Generation of Conservation
We help early-career conservationists who are passionate about restoring the natural world
Nature Investigations
We uncover the issues and shine a light on the problems facing nature in Wales
One in Five
One out of every five species in Wales is facing extinction. One in Five is our flagship investigations campaign, examining five of the biggest threats facing Welsh wildlife through a series of in-depth reports and films. Combining investigative journalism, scientific evidence and powerful storytelling, we will expose what is driving nature’s decline and what needs to change. Our first investigation into wildfires and illegal grassland burning, is now available to read.
Appeals
Raising funds for projects that matter most
Voluntary donations and grants are vital to our work. When we undertake major initiatives, we may launch dedicated appeals to generate additional support and unlock matched funding, helping us deliver greater impact for the communities we serve.
Get involved
Volunteer with us
Our volunteers are fundamental to our work, we have a board of trustees who all volunteer their time alongside people across Wales involved in direct conservation activities.
Help us fundraise
Support our work
Please support us so that we can speak out for wildlife. To remain impartial we do not accept Government funding for any of our activities. Instead we rely on the generous support from people like you, through regular giving, donations and bequests.
Lasting legacy
